they shouldn't blame the reaper
my weapons are loaded an clean
may I end up in the halls of valhalla
killing is easy my friend
it's all muscle memory and training
squeeze the trigger not pull
what they didn't teach you
is living sanely with what you've seen
the horrors done on both sides
you first have to think like one
or die a tragic death young
believing good alone will overcome bad
I've yet to see prayer alone
stop a AK 47 round fired by a enemy who thinks
it's his way of life that's right
politicians start wars for whatever their reasons
as far as I can see from where I've been
they send us in their stead
then frown upon us for what we become
it's sad to say but you can't fight evil
without becoming a little evil yourself
politicians say you have to follow the rules
the truth be there is no rules to war
we fight ,we bleed ,we lose people who are closer
but the ones that were there can comprehend
it's the sacrifices made all in vain
cause they won't let us win
I am a soldier my weapons are loaded an clean
may I end up in the halls of valhalla

Right or Wrong this is a Soldier's perspective
To Kill
Has a price. Consequences vary from mental wounds incurred to scars no one sees. Other vets, others who have killed humans, understand. It is an exclusive club. We empathize/sympathize, yes, and pray to keep from crumbling. We call you hero and go back to the odd civilization you protected. The struggle is tolerable until physical health begins to fail. That fate belongs to all of us enevitable. Any kind of pain sucks, and because we believe in life, we live through hell and live. -S-
