for one moment time will stand forever frozen in my mind
a cold fullmoon night spent watching sagebrush shadows dance
across the fluorescent white snow
air so crisp you can almost hear it crack
sharp enough it hurts if you breathe to deep
memorized by the beauty of it all you can almost
forget the reasons you're standing alone on the bluffs
high above the sleepy little town you've come to call home
if you were here to ask what I was doing
I'd have to say chain smoking
blowing smoke rings at the moon
and plotting heavens demise
or ...... go to hell
probably a good thing no one's here
all the dreams I had for us are now scattered
like the cigarette butts that have melted into the snow
the fairytale is over , the last unicorn has died
the last kiss she had , wasn't mine
for one moment time will stand forever frozen in my mind
it was a cold fullmoon night spent watching sagebrush shadows
dance across the fluorescent white snow
air so crisp you can almost hear it crack
sharp enough it hurts if you breathe to deep
memorized by the beauty of it all you can almost
forget the reasons you're standing alone on the bluffs
high above the sleepy little town you've come to call home
It's now just a matter of time before I leave
and I don't think I'll bother saying goodby

So Much Beauty
surrounding one declaration of loss. The atmosphere was well drawn. It has tone, mood, texture, temperature, emotional outpouring, and the ending was supurb! But then, I'm biased. I like your writings ~Stella~
