I lay here waiting in what seems like
eternal darkness all alone
except the demons of the past that
dance through my mind out of control
plastering your pictures all over the walls
I find myself wishing to find the simple pleasures
we once shared
those hidden still deep inside
the ones that just refuse to disappear into the darkness
through orphaned tears I still see
the love I said would never die
it still burns like a candle in the night
