Quite Melancholic 10-21

Folder:
2003

You may pour out your heart

Tell me everything from the start

But I still will not have feeling

I have a problem with which I am dealing

There is an organ inside of me

That does not know how to be

It beats like it is supposed to

But the other function it does not do

I thought it worked at one point

But hearing that made me disappoint

The few who wished to share

For I almost began to dare

And that is when I learned something important

Something that cannot be bent

Something that is is the antonym of perk

It is quite melancholic to have a heart that does not work

Author's Notes/Comments:

At least at times I know that it does work now.
