She Sold Her Soul for Birth Control

She sold her soul for birth control,

The poisoned filled pen was tragically trembling in her pliant hand as she scribbled her signature on the dotted line.

She sold her soul for birth control,

The Devil's dark, malignant laugh sent shivers down her feeble spine.

She sold her soul for birth control,

Her future remains hospitalized and in critical condition after her internal car crash.

She sold her soul for birth control,

Like a hometown hero making the game winning free throw, she tossed the box of corrupted condoms off of the backboard and into the trash.

She sold her soul for birth control,

And devoured a delicious bite from the forbidden fruit.

She sold her soul for birth control,

To the abortion clinic she took the quickest and most controversial route.

She sold her soul for birth control,

She places the toxic tablet on her tongue as her innocence forever fades away.

She sold her soul for birth control,

The pill may be white, but all she tastes are the infinite splendid shades of gray.

...She holds the rosary beads in her hand and painfully prays as all of her forgiveness is flushed down the toilet bowl,

Sadly these two soul mates must plot out a different fate, because she selfishly sacrificed her sinful soul...

She sold her soul for birth control,

She viciously ripped out her guardian angel's wings and stabbed her in the back.

She sold her soul for birth control,

On the day of her wedding, the once white dress will now be saturated with the deepest shades of red and black.

She sold her soul for birth control,

But gave her virtuousness away for free.

She sold her soul for birth control,

A few branches broke off before they even had a chance to grow on the feculent family tree.

She sold her soul for birth control,

Watch her cry an ocean of tears as she consumes this capsule satiated with cyanide.

She sold her soul for birth control,

Taking a trip exclusive of a seatbelt strapping her corpse in on this religious roller coaster ride.

She sold her soul for birth control,

The golden cup was retrieved but the second chances of salvation she could no longer save.

She sold her soul for birth control,

Tomorrow, she digs Purity's grotesque grave.

...As his sword of flesh gently pierces her precious flower, the narcissistic mistakes begin to take their tragic toll,

She cannot join his blissful side in Heaven, because Satan already owns her shattered soul...

Author's Notes/Comments:

This poem is the same poem that I  wrote titled "I sold my soul for birth control", except i switched it to a 3rd person narrative here, since I'm a male, ergo, giving it more of a story feel instead of sounding like I'm the girl taking birth control ; )

Sometimes when one is young and not very experienced and knowledgeable in the ways of life they get into situations they don't realize at the time will have a great many demands in the future. The phrase the young and reckless somewhat comes into play, they play the game of chance and hope they win, some don't then the decision of what to do next haunts them the rest of their lives. Abortion is an individual perception to the given individual and they live with the choice to do it or not and the rest of their lives is all a matter of outcome of that decision. It is unfortunate that it comes to having to make that decision at all. Soul too is a word defined not only by dictionaries but by individuals ...
