Alaina

There’s a photo that she took

That has been missing in action

And if you find it, please rip it in half

Because she’s disappeared everywhere

Without a single trace

Except for in that photograph

As Alaina’s face

Is still smiling in that picture

In my mind I can still clearly hear her laugh

So please tear the memories apart

If you happen to find them

Because I can’t deal with the aftermath

So I ask you:

Have you ever felt like this before?

Has your heart ever hit the floor

When your truth has turned into lies?

Have you ever felt like this before?

Another hopeless victim of war

Whose dream rapidly dies?

…Drowning in cries

There’s a hole in my heart

And if you happen to hold it

Then please just let it be

Because filling it back up with heartache

Will hurt more than

Just leaving it empty

As Alaina’s red hair used to flicker like fire

Now the world is gray

As far as the eye can see

So please let the blood pour

Out of all my wounds

Because this is how it has to be

Still I wonder:

Have you ever felt like this before?

Has your heart ever hit the floor

When your truth has turned into lies?

Have you ever felt like this before?

Another hopeless victim of war

Whose dream rapidly dies?

…Drowning in cries

Have you ever felt like this before?

Have you ever felt like this before?

Have you ever felt like this before?

...Still I wonder
