So I've been thinking

but it feels more like I'm sinking

I guess it's from all the drinking.

How did I let this get so out of hand?

this wasn't the plan

How did it get so far?

I do not wish to start a war

This is not like me

I get on my knees

hopping to God he'll hear my pleads.

Why didn't I see this before?

I need to close this door

before I hit the floor.

Please understand this was just a mistake

So my friend before you depart

I hope for you to continue your path

and follow your heart.

a fresh start.
