Dreamer's Sky

I wish upon this broken moon

fore I don't know where the stars have gone tonite

A glowing cresent all alone

on a dark empty canvas of nite

Not a shadow of a cloud in sight to shield it from my words

Yet it sits and looks down upon me in silence

until it retreats from the dawn of day

Here I sit from dawn til dusk

to wait for a reply

Thin whisps of darkened purple creame cover the new nite's canvas

The cresent upon my wish done placed

seems not be present

The sprakle of a thousand lover's eyes are scatterd as stars across the sky

In each star I place a dream that one pair of those eyes will find mine

Dawn til dusk

dusk til dawn

the suns glory rises and fades many a day

My eyes stare upon my canvas of wishes and dreams, and

Yesternite they were unfllfilled

but two stares have faded from my normal nightly view

Before I could take much time to ponder

what a change like this could mean

I look away from the nature's art work that is my dreamer's sky

and I know my wishes have been granted because in my eyes I see you,

and those eyes twinkle like stars.
