Four years have passed

Since you said goodbye

Since you were called away

You were given silver wings to fly

Although, it feels to me

As if it were just yesterday,

That I was only small

When you and used to play.

You were my rock

My tower of strength

I still remember the days

We could talk at great length

About days gone by

And those yet to come

Although what seemed special to us

Seemed not to matter to some

You dared me to dream

You fuelled my desire

To aim for the starts

And then even higher

You had faith in me

When others turned away

You lifted my spirits

You helped me face each day

When others showered me in doubt

You some how knew

That all would be okay

No matter what, I would pull through

When my tears were falling

And my heart was in despair

I knew there was you

Who would always care

So these words I pen down

Just to let you know

I still feel the same way

You’re my courage, my strength

You’re all the dreams in my heart

These feelings have not dimmed

Since we’ve been apart

I send a kiss and a hug

To wherever you are

So that you will know

You’re still my shining star.
