There's a dreamy musicality and an enthralling sense of place in your Medieval drama. My interpretation is that a pivotal victory of spirit over might is unfolding. Forgive me if I'm wrong, but regardless, the stately voice and elegant thunder compressed within the lines created an enchanting experience.
Thanks dear Patricia. Indeed this has its source spring in Arthurian lore interwoven with the recent events of May 6, 2023 wherein the Hon. Penny Modaunt ceremouniously presents Charles III one of the swords of enthronement.
As I read this poem it evokes an ancient world that emerges from Poetry as the blossom emerges from the bud. The tone of the poem and its grammatic construction also suggest a language that, although understandable, it not entirely our mundane contemporary chatter.
Thank you dear poet. Indeed no colloguiallism is to be found here, at least not contemporary banter. It could as well vary somewhat from English of earlier periods but in the reading is archaic enough and a literary construdction that signals to the reader both the flex and reach of our language and consciousness of epochal proportions, for that appreciation am I deeply grateful. I will leave a note on the post as this melds into and interweaves with the events of May 6, 2023. That may offer its readers more of a grasp and extension in their journey.
