This reminds me of the work of the Hellenic Poets, like Callimachus, who reduced the bulky "epic-ness" of certain myths to briefer poems that were more easily read, even memorized, and that still presented the mythical story just as forcefully . . . as you have certainly done here. Another excellent poem from a consistently excellent Poet. Your presence on Postpoems makes it better and better.
Seen as a poetic summation of sorts, that is both a succinct and useful description of what took place here. And for that I am most thankful dear Starward. There is a tinge of rue that presence is all that will come off of this but I may be proven wrong yet again in these feelings. So for now it is forward and onward. The Muse calls.
