Summer rain

Thinking of a summer rain
Sadness lights my fainting eyes with pain
Distant are we from one another
There's no one out there i call brother

Empty faces walking down the street
Empty spaces in between my feet
Trapped in a string of insecurity and greed
Oh how i yearn to save them from the incessant bleed

Breathe a change into this melancholy town
Will not witness everyone i care for drown
Strive and fall, stand up once more
There’s a world out there we can’t ignore

‘long the journey lose purpose 'neath the growing storm
Wake up by a blast of reality, should i choose to conform
No, all that we do is never wasted in vain
There’s a rainbow that shines through any bitter rain
