As he approached
You got in your several thousand dollar car so fast
That you almost closed the heavy door
On that expensive leather coat you're rockin
When he politely but intrusively tapped
On the limo tint
You looked down toward your lap
Hoping he didn't notice you noticing him
You rummaged through some papers
Acting like
You
Were
So
Important
But when you realized that he was not
Too proud
You huffed!
And puffed!!
And rolled your window down!!!
And he quietly asked you to spare a dime
But you LIED
You have no dime
Because you're doing bad
As you sip your mocha java
And smoke your Cuban cigar
On your way up to Corporate America
Now what if-
Your building collapsed
And what if tragedy struck
And that car you had flipped
And that coat you had tore
And that coffee you had spilled
And that Cuban cigar burned your lips
You too might have to put pride to the side
And ask
ME
For a dime
Nice write, should give us all something to think about. We are all of us just a few paychecks away from being 'dirty' ourselves...
