I'd heard the door slam
The night you left
I should have of tried to stop you
But I stood by and watched
I listened to all your screaming
Yelling for that something
That had never given

I saw the tear soaked tissues
Never knew why you cried so much
Maybe I didn't care
But it doesn't matter now
I found the empty bottles
Why couldn't you tell me
It was all my fault
Now I'm sorry I never told you that
I watched you pack your bags
I didn't say a word
I heard you you speed off
And I only watched the tail lights fade
Now all I have is a picture
Hanging on the wall
I stare at it for hours
As I wonder what went wrong
And if I could it all again
I'd give you all you wanted
But first I'd tell you not to go.
