Transcending trainees
venerate our trio
awed by its regal mystery,
repressing new passions
in arid nausea,
hiking duality trails with camels
and bearded earthly kings,
conversing Bedouin, ethics,
monogamy, time journeys
by association.
We sip kava, quietly laugh,
at this our evening entourage
and their youthful dialect …
then a pause, gasps,
as the trail brightens
silver with the Star.
The Magus points west.
Myrrh is in the air.
Again, I must say............
You do have a certain cadence, panache and flow to your poems. My favorite line and the truly most original one in this I found was 'hiking duality trails with camels' and I am a woman who really appreciates originality. Your poems remind me a bit of Pabl Nuruda. Very craftily constructed, not very long but they pack a literary punch. Now, I must read the other two just to see if you can keep the flow...........Sincerely, Melissa Lundeen
