Dusting

Dwell on the events of days gone by

Dredge up the past incessantly

And see where you end up

When all is said and done

Are there progressions to be made

  Lying stagnant in a cave

Decayed – Remains of all that you

  Refuse to leave behind

The wealth of pain that made you grow

Taught you compassion, gave you wisdom

All the things you need to know

To be the best that you can be

You need to move on from what went on

The future lies ahead in miles but

With your head turned backward

  How can you see

The path of your own destiny

This is a lovely piece that gives encouragement to move on in life; it touched me in some way. Thanks for sharing. Take care and keep it up.
