The dark is the only place I feel safe and yet in danger.
I'm afraid because I can't see
But at the same time
I feel safe because my eyes aren't bleeding at the sight of my fears
It hides them
It hides me
I can't see them coming if they touch me
But maybe they're just as blind as
Eye. My eyes hurt.
And now I can't even tell if they're open.
Ervey day my voisin gtes wrose.
Am I in the dakr???
In The Dark

Closed against all things feared
my eyes see better in the darkness
hidden among shadows, my viewscape
takes in all edifices and movements
undetected.

My lids are brown shutters, my lashes black
curtains that close on all things gray.
Honor lives behind closed concepts to fade
as the coffin cover descends and locks.
At sunset love will blossom.
