Def Poetry A man born in a time filled with alarm
Who is Son of Carol, but a Brother-in-Arms
Filled with charm
But stumbles in the face of insecurity
Ruled by immaturity
And the furthest thing from purity
He's a friend to all, except when you're slow driving
Ending his surviving
Stopping his reviving
And preventing his arriving
To the ocean, where his heart loves...
But his thoughts and emotions shove...
He's in between, no more white doves...
Committing spiritual murder without gloves
John Mayer said:
"I'm invincible as long as I'm alive"
That quote keeps pushing me to thrive
No more brakes, just keep it in drive
But he said nothing about how to survive
In the mirror, I see a man bowing before shrinkage
Heart suffering from leakage
Because I'm a witness
That tomorrow's not a promise, it's a privilege
On the map of wrong turns we refer to as life
With my cap I feel burns of sorrow and strife
Took a nap, had to learn, way too young for a wife
This is crap, way too stern, like the blade of a knife
Power, love, sensuality, passion
I'm the first one in when called into action
But at times it gets tough going against all this traction
You think you know who I am? You only know a fraction.
I like this alot. It's unique

Def Poetry is not really a form of writing, as it's based off a show. Essentially, it's a lot to do with the diction of the poem, and the delivery of the performance. In essence, it's kind of like rapping.
