(It starts with one)
It multiplies `till you can taste the sun
Burnt by the sky
You try to take it from.
But if it falls,
There's no place to run.
Crumbling down...
(It's so unreal..)
They're dealing you in
to determine your end,
and sending you back again
to places you've been,
and bending your will
`till it breaks you within.
Yet still they (Fill their eyes)
Through the skylight
I see the twilight
As it highlights
on a frame of steel
With the brightness
I see you're like this
as I write this
on a path.
To the (Way I feel)!
Hear the screaming,
am I dreaming?
Yes it's seeming
that you've played your part.
Like you're heartless,
take apart this,
in the darkness.
And I know
[Chorus]
I've tried so hard,
and got so far.
But in the end,
it doesn't even matter.
I had to fall,
to lose it all.
But in the end,
it doesn't even matter.
[end chorus]
I look down the line
and what's there is not what ought to be.
Held back by the battles they fought for me.
Calling me
to be part of their property.
And yet I see that I (Get no chance)!
I get no breaks!
Fakes and Snakes
quickly lead to mistakes!
And as the tight rope within,
slowly starts to thin,
I can only hope that they (Close their eyes)!
Through the skylight,
I see the twilight,
as it highlights
on that frame of steel.
With the brightness,
I see you're like this,
as I write this
on a pad.
And the (Way I feel)!
Hear the screaming,
Am I dreaming?
As it's seeming
that you've played your part.
Like you're heartless,
take apart this
in the darkness.
Yet I know...
[Chorus]
I've tried so hard,
and got so far.
But in the end,
I doesn't even matter.
I had to fall,
to lose it all.
But in the end,
it doesn't even matter.
[end chorus]
[2nd chorus; whispered]
I've put my trust, in you.
Pushed as far as I can go.
For all this,
there's only one thing
you should know.
[2nd chorus repeated x 4]
[1st Chorus]
I tried so hard,
and got so far.
But in the end,
it doesn't even matter.
I had to fall,
to lose it all.
But in the end,
it doesn't even matter.
[end chorus, piano solo; end song.]

Haha, well sorry for ruining
Haha, well sorry for ruining it, dude! Wasn't my intent for sure! Though I do admit and agree that the original is better, won't deny that :) Wish you could've told me what I could've don differently, though. :D
I Do Not Know linkin park
But I did notice it was a diversion from your later style. You have a voice, use that. If you intend to continue writing song lyrics best wishes and don't get sued for cribbing. Listened to Linkin Park and you took the chorus from their song exactly. Unprofessional. A no-no. Can't use somebody's arrangements either, alan thicke (Blurred Lines). He learned that lesson real hard stealing from MoTown Records. - slc
