Tell your daddy she can't move,
you paralyzed a child's soul..
her dream of becoming a ballerina
crumbled out on the floor.
Tell your mommy he said sorry,
for when you punched him in the nose,
he didn't know what he did wrong.
As the blood covered his clothes.
Tell your parents that you won
when you held up your father's gun.
The cafeteria emptied as
the confused souls did run!
We hear of all the tragedy
We see it on the news
It’s really bad when now we sigh
And just turn off our TV.
How do kids expect to live
With freedom and dignity
When they are scared to learn and play
Or to laugh when they’re at school.
Whow, a quite heavy tone lightly put but enough inside it to be a good solid read.
Enjoyed.
