Chaos sat on a tree trunk
untouched by fire or bore beetles
pondering the messy forest
humans call living.

Mayhem walked by and glared
at his old chum, the estranged one,
the one who took off and made
a big splash at Hiroshima. A nod
sufficed and humans held
a council to save the earth
from ideas.
