At Zebedee's Acceptance
I must admit, I had hoped both my sons
would have aspired---desired---the fisherman's
work, as I did. Not just an occupation,
a means of sustenance, but a vocation
(a difference does exist). with education
(among the pagans, a whole catalogue
of classes, more than any synagogue
school teaches). Given all this preparation,
they have chosen another destiny,
leaving the boats shored on Lake Galilee
to follow Jesus in His ministry
which will transform the course of History,
before our eyes. Even His very Name
will change the world: nothing will be the same.
