One star kept track of
the wise men's timing. All of
the stars and planets
will---sometime---synchronize to
tell the last time: Christ's return.

Author's Notes/Comments:
This poem is based upon Matthew 2 and Genesis 1. I have often told my Sunday School class, in the days when I still taught, that the Star of Bethlehem was not a guidance device (if it had been, it failed at the first stop, which was, wrongly, Jerusalem), but a timing device---to mark at its rising, its retrograde, and its stationing the commencement, approach and arrival of the Wise Men's pilgrimage. Scripture says that the stars were given not only as lights but to mark seasons. The universe is a great mechanism of circular or elliptical motions. I believe that when they have all synchronized to a final, predestined point, the time for Christ's return will have come. I do not suggest that the stars and planets determine this---but that their motions, like clockwork, were set, by Christ in the creation, to synchronize at the end of material time and the resumption of eternity.
