Save my heart from destruction,

this world is too corrupted.

I deserve more than this lie,

why should I hide the tears that I cry.

I have no secret,

shake when I'm scared,

I speak my regret,

remember love that I've shared.

Things stay the same,

no matter where I go,

sit in my room,

when I'm all alone.

I swallow things that numb me,

and I know this is wrong.

I want to be free,

and need to stay strong.

so rock me to sleep,

and sing me a song.
