When the fall season rattles,
the forest where I dwell,
my long branches do tremble,
from the cold winds of hell.
Planted deep down in my heart
there is a seed rooted deep,
where my beauty now hides out
until spring while I sleep.
I know of life's four seasons
I don't know when it ends
whether my weathering branches
will ever bare leaves again.
But I do know the heartache
that comes in autumn each year,
the last vestige of my leaves
when I lie dormant and bare
Then I must wait ever so patiently,
to birth forth leaves in bloom,
and claim Spring's restored beauty
born from Mother Earth's womb
Wow I love it
