And fainting

Weeping and maiming

Fading

And fainting

Bleeding and painting

The walls of this room

Been there all your life

The red changes hue

Though you're dulling your knife



The sun is gone

Faded away

The light is gone

Faded away



Your center is black

Black as the sky

You'd see the light

If you'd open your eyes



Hiding

Abiding

Gravity rising

Hiding

Abiding

Slipping and sliding

Towards the window and outside

Only amity you seek

Burn to ashes your eyes

Sew your lips not to speak



The sun is gone

Faded away

The light is gone

Faded  away



Your center is black

Black and dark

You'd see the lie

If you'd open your heart



Fading

And waiting

Deteriorating

Fading

And waiting

Anticipating

The eternal embrace

Fragile bodies, impure

Though the mind can erase

Your heart will endure

But emotion's still there

Memories remain
