Comfortable to be complacent
Living only now
Leading only to stagnation
Living like a sow
Never needing to look forward
Makes one shut ones eyes
Every wave must move shoreward
Though one might fight the tide
How can you be satisfied
When your sky
Barely reaches your eyes
How can you be satisfied
To simply survive
With nothing more than staying alive
Potential is a negative
If you never fill it
And blood is only relative
To silver if you spill it
Gold is only worth something
When someoone else wants it
And no one mourns the broken wing
More than the one who flaunts it
How can you be satisfied
Seeing the sky
And not wanting to fly
How can you be satisfied
Where you lie
sitting on the ground till you die
Shivering to fight the cold
Won't weave you a blanket
And contemplating getting old
Won't help you forsake it
Diamond dust and cloudy dreams
Neither fills your hand
You must shape reality
Like making glass from sand
