hope being

a guide to wishful thinking,

we, who hold the keys

to the mystery, of dream,

the chances worth taking

her love, worth tasting

longing to be.

the poets mind

characterizing words,

in feelings, worth illustrating

at any point

in a glass world,

the sacrifices made

without breaking,

the promise of beauty

in the shadow of awakening,

to know of life

is to compromise, to gain

in true wisdom of the word,

and keep

hope alive,

may our fears subside

in the question of our nerve,

may the answers lie

in the courage, of our souls will

to prosper.
