Please don't think me insane
It's only been nine days
But I miss you with all my heart
And there are five more left to face

I'm writing out my heart
With this pen
Because this time apart
Has left it open

I think back to your half smile
As you said to me
"It'll pass quickly, you'll be fine"
But still I miss you with everything
Am I out of line

On this trip you've seen things
And you've changed a life
I'm thankful for all it brings
But I feel left behind

You said she's been through
Almost the same situation as you
And I don't blame her
For wanting a romance to stir
But my heart sings
As you say you told her about me
She smiled through her tears
And said, "I'm sure she's beautiful"
You broke through all my fears
As you said, "You have no idea, she's wonderful"
She saw my picture and then said
"She really is, if I have to lose to her, I'm glad"

I'm praying for these next few days
That you'll find everything you need
But for this I also pray
That you won't forget about me.
