It's true what they say
You don't know what you have til it fades
We don't appreciate the everyday
Until something we love is taken away
We live in this facade
Our view entirely flawed
We say we're fine yet it's all a fraud
Incidentally pushing away the ones we love
Just because we're so closed off
That we won't open up
The ones we see everyday never know our pain
And we never see theirs
For we're far too vain
Spending too much time
In front of the mirror carving a fake smile
Looking for an antidote all the while
Always pretending as if it's in style
But I'm ready for a new trend
Because this route has hit a dead end
I'll throw away the list of mistakes
For today is not yesterday
I'll open my heart and open up
Cause I'm far too tired of being numb
I've found the antidote
Lets shoot it through our veins
It's called LOVE and it can mend every pain.
