The Cure.

There's an irony in the way
We all wear our crowns,
Yet they are what weigh us down.
It's time to stop focusing on me
And put my focus on He,
And throw all my crowns down at His feet.
He is worthy of everything,
The things that I do, and the praises I sing.
He's the one I was made to love
In everything I do, I'll do it to lift Him up.
"Why?" you ask, and I'll tell you, you see
He gave His life to rescue me.
To break the bondages and set me free.
And dear friend, He did the same for you.
How He loves you so, what I tell you is true.
He's there every hour and will never leave or forsake
For He's the same tomorrow, as He was yesterday.
All He asks, is for your heart
And He will renew it and give you a new start
I know you may have made mistakes,
And have had many heart breaks.
But there is one thing I am sure,
Jesus is the mender of hearts,
He is the cure, He is the author of a new start.
Surrender to Him, and just believe
He will love you forever and never leave.

Oh, I love this. I never tire

Oh, I love this. I never tire of reading poetry about one's great love for Jesus and his even greater love for all of us. Such poems always make my soul smile brighter to read. Thanks for sharing............ I'm sure you make Jesus smile and his heart warm brighter when he reads such praises and love singled out especially for him. As you know, He gives it back a billion times more. The best thing we as humans can do is allow God to love others through us. Your poem really lifted up my spirit. Made me happier that you added me to your friend's list. Keep writing and I shall keep reading........... sincerely, Melissa
