I'M MARRIED
I'm married. She said.
I'm married. She said. These words pounding in my head.
I think that every night, lying in bed.
I think that every night, crying in bed.
I'm married.
These words two. I hated for them to be true.
These words true, they made me blue.
She said she hoped I umderstand, she had a husband.
She hoped I did understand, the ring in her hand.
A blues song I wanted to sing.
I'm married.
She said she was a wife.
That stuck in my heart, like a knife.
It struck me like a knife in the heart,
something see, with me, she was not going to start.
I'm married.
She said, she hoped, a fact I did not ignore.
We won't be opening any doors.
Yes, see, that's what she said to me.
Very touching...
Very touching... i think it was also hard for her. I can see that she needs an assurance or a good answer everytime she mention about her being married.
It was nice, very emotional poem. Thanks.
