WAITING FOR A TRAIN I

                           I'm a boy from Illinois.

The Illinois boonies.  I hope the train comes soon.

Down come the gates; its great.

The lights of red, all the thoughts in my head.

A train of freight is great.

I have no friends.  This is what I love to do on my weekends.

The track, is not far from my home.  I'm all alone, but thats ok.

I have no friends.  I do this without end.

Saturdays, Sundays too, blue it's fun.

I do it after school too, blue.

I like to stay.  It's not a long way back.

                                 I'm sitting by the gates.

                               Where there cross the road

A freight train pulling a heavy load.

                               This I'm not hate.

                               I'm waiting for a train.

                              sun-fun, rain-pain, snow-go

                                I wait.  I watch.

                     gates, great flashing lights bright

                                along, singing its song

It could be going east, beast to Chicago, go

                      Or west, to California
