            THE GIRL DOWN THE STREET

    She's a treat.  She's really neat,

Just have to move my feet to the beat

   down the street, to

her place, where I can take a seat.

     I repeat.

She's the girl down the street.

She's good.  She's in my neighborhood.

She's close by, when i cry.

She's so close to my home.  when i'm alone

I can go to hers.  She can come to mine.

     It's so, so, very, fine.

She's the girl down the street.

We can play during the day.

        We can play all day.

We can play all night, until the morning comes bright.

She's the girl down the street.

I went up and I went down.  I went here and I went there.

   I had fear.

This game was driving me insane.

I got lost.  I, in the mighty hurricane got tossed.

I thought that what I really wanted, I would never find.

   I was blind.

She's the girl down the street.

Not in Colorado, did I go not in Iowa, not in Newton.

You were right here in Boston

        You are so much fun.
