All day, all night, they are an awesome sight.
The trains. The trains.
We go and watch them, it's fun.
It's fun, and we hope it's never done.
Their movement is too, it's true, never done.
All across the country they run.
We look at all the cars. They are from near and far.
They go on and on and on for miles.
As they go by, the faces of the people, the smiles.
All they places they have been.
All the places they are going.
A sound in the distance growing.
We, about them, are knowing.
The cities, the small towns.
The mountains, the plains.
The trains.
Girls and boys have them as toys.
Children, with them, love to play.
We all dream of being on a train.
At night, the whistle scream.
They bring things to you, and yes, see it's true
they bring things to me too.
