Where are you?
A note.
A sentence. A part of a note.
A part of very short note.
The rest of the note gives a name
and information on where the author is.
Where are you?
A note, to use Shania Twain's words,
written by somebody with black eyes
and blue tears.
A note, like the thousands of others there,
that tells a story, of a family, of lives
torn apart.
A note, telling of the hopelessness
of not knowing where anybody else is.
Of being all alone among
thousands.
Where are you?
Are you lonely in New Orleans?
Are you in Houston?
Are you HERE in the Astrodome?!
Are you somewhere else?
Are you in heaven?
Where are you?
If you are in heaven.
At least you can get food.
At least you can get warmth.
At least you can get food and warth.
At least you are safe.
At least you are free.
At least you can get food and warth,
and be safe and free forever.
Where are you?
A note, there.
A note written in pencil placed on
the Astrodome wall.
A note in the middle of
thousands and thousands of other notes.
Praying and praying and praying.
Where are you?
The Astrodome.
A dome that has become a home.
A home for thousands.
A place to get food.
A place to get rest.
A place to start putting
the pieces of a life back together.
A place to start FINDING
the pieces of one's life and
putting them back together.
Where are you?
Let's all pray for those who lost their lives during Katrina and those who survived. I pray all loves ones were able to reunite with their families..
