A GUY LIKE ME

COUNTRY POEMS

             My dear.

Here's a message I want to send to you.

It's true.  I hope it won't make ya blue.

I hope you won't hear fear.

I hope you hear it loud and clear.

You'll never find a guy like me.

You can search the whole world from bottom to top.

     You will never stop.

You can search the whole world through.

        Yes, it's true.

Around and around and around you'll go.

     This is what I know.

You'll never stop, until down you'll flop.

You can search without an end trying to find a boyfriend.

You'll never find a guy like me.

You'll try and try.  You'll cry and cry.

You'll feel like you want to die.  You'll ask why oh why.

Away from the pain you'll want to fly.

But, like me, you'll never find another guy.

You'll never find a guy like me.

A guy it's true, who's done what I have for you.

A guy who take care of you when you were blue.

Whenever you needed me, whenever you pleaded for me.

I've been your 911, taking care of you, never done.

24 hours a day, 7 days a week, never did I hide from your seek.

Every time you did call.  Every time you did fall.

Oh, you'll never find a guy like me.

Yeah, you'll never find a guy like me.

When one is a listening ear,a means of moral support it is because they feel compassion for another, this piece sounds like who ever it is you are speaking of is throwing in anothers face how much they were there for them, how much they did for them, etc and as though what they did has expectations. Compassion never has expectations, it just exists..

Hey :)

Good poem.

I'm new to this whole posting thing and just wanted to comment on a poem I could relate to.
Is this an experience you have made yourself or did you just want to express your thoughts about it in general?

If so I really hope you got over that chick and kept your refreshing self confidence ;) I liked that a lot.

Would be nice to hear from you some time.

See you.

Pretentious, would make a nice song. Could use a little more attention to the rhythm you rhyme in, and a little less of the casual rhymes. Read it out loud, you'll see what I'm saying.
