      PARENTS AND TEENAGERS
      Parents just don't understand.
     They don't have a clue.
But, it's really true, they really do.
      They have been through.
They  know where the road does go.
They know where the river does flow.
     They have been there before.
Their nice advice, teens do not need to ignore.

Inherently

it seems to be the job of teenagers to rebel. But it is the job of adults to reel them in. There's a reason why our species has more adults than children, at any given moment. And the societies where this is least the case, are where open bloodshed is most common. Not only because of this, of course, as there are conditions behind it all that have contributed to such low population ages to begin with. None the less, we can learn something from those scenes. Why are we handing the keys, figuratively and literally, to the young? I don't know. I was there, you were there. We knew very little. We thought we knew so much : )
