i have waited for you

and cried myself dry

and acted like a fool

to catch your eye

said things i have never

and will never mean

and all because i missed you.

i have lost all faith

in a passing attack

and still held onto the hope

you'd somehow come back

but i pushed you away with

my wild mood swings

and all because i missed you.

i have lost all control

in this course of infection

and taken your indifference

as the harshest rejection

i forgot there were people

more important than me

and all because i missed you.

now you are leaving

and i think it's my fault

i think you saw my advances

as a mad, planned assault

i never meant to do this

to drive you on out

it was just because i miss(ed) you.
