Ignorance Is Bliss

Folder:
Good-Bye Love

The memory of a midnight kiss

an emotion, then intense,

now meaningless.

Soft words spoken with a gentle touch

thoughts of tomorrow, forever,

and such.

Certainty was unsure in disguise,

and all the promises whispered,

were lies.

I was so blind, why couldn't I see?

that the only thing real in my dream...

was me.

Author's Notes/Comments:

Everyone has to write at least one sappy "good-bye love" rhyming poem. Okay, I have quite a few, but this is one of the worst. :)
