I saw you today

Looking as if you didn't belong

And as much as I wanted to

I couldn't bring myself to touch you



If I turned back time

What would remain of us?

The feelings of contentment?

Or just a long lost memory?



I saw you last night

Just as I was passing through

How many times must you haunt me?

My world has shattered so, so much

Since you've been gone

I've learned to stand on two feet



I saw you today

Looking as if you didn't belong

I can honestly say that

I feel the exact same way

But as much as I wanted to

Oh how I wanted to

I couldn't bring myself to touch you



How many times must you haunt my world?

I realize now that 'then' can never be 'now'

Just like that day I shattered my heart

When I learned to stand on two feet

I never belonged...
