Pretending

Folder:
DESPAIR

She walked among them, pretending

Decieving them with her beauty

Covering all her faults

Exposing to them a fake persona

One she lived separately from the rest

She smiled hollow, empty laughs

But they couldn't see through it

They took it all in, believed her

That she was one of them

The girl, she was black inside

Consumed by darkness, drenched in blood

She wore a mask of indifference

But with all things, pressure builds up behind the lies

Her mask was slipping

Her coverup was fading

Exposing her true form right before their eyes

No longer hidden behind her walls

They stare at the bared soul

Her thoughts and feelings on display

She walked among them

Pretending

The girl, she was black inside
Consumed by darkness, drenched in blood
