Hiding the love in the bedroom

But it bleeds beneath the door

The sweet sweat and heat fill the room

And make me want more

Interruptions make love stop

But eyes make additional love, my heart drops.

Eyes make connections and lips tremble

Sleep-starved bodies rest and lay together

Walked through the valley to the curb where we sat

Sitting evolves to laying

(he gazes at the stars, I gaze at him, he is my star)

Laying evolves to sitting

(I wear the hoodie love brought to keep me from the cold, golden headlights cast shadows and make eyes glow)

Breeze flows against spit covered lips

And makes kisses intense

The train whistles

Motionless arms grasp the moment

The only time I’m safe..

The word “beautiful” pours from him and is intended for me

Astonished that someone like me could experience such compliments

Joy-contended tears emerge in my eyes

A movement from the curb to the van.

Inside silent conversations blend with the supple touch of hands.

Distance teases me..

Then a sad shift to the intoxicated hell possessed vehicle

             But only me

He returns to his sweat infected room

driving away.. I enclose my arms around my body

and draw in the scent off your hoodie I still contain.
