6th Period

We can haste the day and empty our minds
Speaking of all that passes through it
Telling our deepest secrets
Even hidden from ourselves before today
We can act like we have never loved at all
Confused and addicted to the moment
Time will seem to be our only enemy
We will only notice it the last hour
Or we can save up all the energy
Act like you we were meant to never be
I was just a passing body
And you were never smiling at me
On my drive I wouldnt think of you
Wouldnt want the night to end
And when I finally lost my self in bed
You wouldnt fill my lonely head
I am glad you haunt my dreams

Chase, you write extremely

Chase, you write extremely well and it is very honest and raw. You're someone I'm going to keep an eye on, watching you grow poetically. Keep it up, you're awesome.

"It is a terrible thing to be so open. It is as if my heart put on a face and walked into the world" -- Sylvia Plath.
