On the Crossroad

One day a swallow asked me

Have I seen the northern lands?

So cold and beautiful

or have I flew the vast sky

have I flew as high as I can

feeling the nice cold wind

seeing the earth so small from there

I shook my head and the swallow left unimpressed

One day a wild horse asked me

Have I seen the western lands?

So vast and rugged

or have I ran the endless plains

have I ran to my heart's content

feeling the fragrance the wind brings

seeing the path left behind by the travelers

I shook my head and the wild horse left unimpressed

One day a traveler asked me

Have I seen the eastern lands

So full and mysterious

or have I traveled as far as my feet can take me

feeling the news the wind brings

seeing the people of different places

I shook my head and the traveler left unimpressed

One day a butterfly asked me

Have I seen the southern lands?

So warm and friendly

or have I flew through endless garden of flowers

have I seen my share of world

feeling the nectar of many flowers

seeing summer hosting her festival

I shook my head the the butterfly left unimpressed

I have not seen the sky of Northern lands

or plains of Western lands

or towns of Eastern lands

or garden of Southern lands

I have not and I will not

I stand in crossroad where I stand rooted

I was not meant to travel the world

Do not pity for I will ask you back

Have you seen the crossroads?

So busy and peaceful

or have you heard tales of this world

have you heard why grinning bobcat grinned

feeling the exotic air and story travelers bring

seeing the travelers bring back part of the world with them

So do not pity me or call me unfortunate

I have heard more than my share of this world

My mind have traveled through all four corner of this world

So next time you come back

Bring back a story and a part of the world for me to see and hear
