Metal springs have tight resistance

that press into plastics

for toys to keep shape

for boys who play late

in the dusty lands of where ever,

I've stayed my space at distance

in after hours where the glow slows down

and my heart skips a beat every half second

pumping pressure to my limbs that move like molasses,

I'm like this

Six Feet of regret

that keeps sweating on girls

who can't wait to hate my ways

yet they stay in place long enough

so I have to remember their face

and the way it looks when it disapproves of me

makes me rethink everything I've ever been taught

but the precidents stay present tense

yet here I am,

Always on the offensive
