If only I could bring those days back
That was filled with amusement and bliss
Where we walked the distance and abandoned time
Holding hands and yearning for more time like this
And now I never thought this day would come
Where we depart and bid farewell
Like a child enjoying the rain, turning
Disappointed when, on her cheek, the last drop fell
I know we must tread our own paths
Facing the scary changes all alone
With no comforting shoulder where I'd rest upon
Knowing all that I could do about us is nothing but mourn
And every morning adds a brand-new page
To the epic called the story of my life
With people flocking into it like its a turnstile
But only leave my heart high and dry
Though I have come out the other side stronger
Still I want to revenge the unforgivable time
But I know that the bond that sprouted in us
Can never ever be lost but only has become dormant.
