This Terminal Me

Stop my ticked-out clock,

Halt my salt-dampened sands,

Untie these too-tight ropes,

That bind my always-trembling hands.

Fate struck first,

With it's leveling blow,

Now I strike back,

The last way I know.

Life has me by the aching heart,

Trying to make me stay and see.

But now its time, I end at last,

This broken soul...this terminal me.
