Outcast,
pushed aside
and pushed away,
no longer
'part of their crowd.'
And for what?
Merely using
the God-given birthright
of free thinking?
Shunned,
by those she called
'friend'.
Those who's words
she always respected.
She dared
go against their grain,
dared to voice
her own opinion,
alongside their opinions.
And now,
she is shut out
from their world,
the throat of her muse,
slashed
by their sharpened quills.
So she'll move on,
maybe somewhere,
maybe nowhere.
But she'll never allow
her mind to be repressed,
nor her pen, to be stilled.
