Day turns dark, turns cloudy
hail begins to pelt
followed by a torrent rain
frozen pellets now melt.
Thunder crackles in the sky
vibrating beneath my feet
Northern winds blow colder now
rains turn into sleet.
Lightning flashes electric bolts
raising hairs upon my neck
everyone runs for cover,
but I think, 'What the heck!'
I've dealt with nastier furies,
body's been battered by every form,
walk slow, pull my hood up over
for I can surely weather this storm!
